You start your river cruise in picturesque Passau, pass the historical places of Melk and Esztergom and arrive in Hungary’s capital Budapest with its majestic Parliament building. The Danube River divides the ancient cities of Buda and Pest and you can enjoy a splendid view on the “Paris of the East” from aboard. Get captivated by the scenic countryside and visit the typical Hungarian town of Kalocsa where red peppers are hung up for drying on gutters and doors are decorated with hand painted ornaments. The following day, certainly one of the highlights, is waiting for you. You traverse the Iron Gates, a dramatic narrow passage between the Balkan and Carpathian Mountains, before arriving in Serbia’s capital Belgrade. One of the oldest cities in Europe Belgrade impresses visitors with its Kalemegdan Fortress, the world’s largest orthodox church of St. Sava or the Art Nouveau architecture of Hotel Moskvaoder. Immerse yourself in the stunning landscape whilst cruising to Bratislava. Continue to Austria’s capital city of Vienna and discover the city’s rich musical heritage and walk in great composers steps like Beethoven, Mozart and Haydn. Linz, once European Capital of Culture invites you to try the delicious Linzer Torte, cake made of a recipe dating back over 350 years or visit Linz Castle or the Old Cathedral.
