This Independent tor offered by European Travel Advisors includes the 3 Imperial cities of the for­mer Austro-Hungarian Empire. Prague is a glimpse into the his­to­ry of Europe as you stroll along the Vltava River. Vienna offers a beau­ti­ful range of palaces, church­es, and roy­al res­i­dences. Budapest is home to the Parlament, the largest Gothic struc­ture in Europe. Travel between the cities by first-class rail.

Itinerary

Day 1 — Prague — Arrival
Arrive in Prague and you will be met at the air­port (or train sta­tion) and be trans­ferred by pri­vate car to your hotel in the cen­ter of the city. Check in and the remain­der of the day is at your leisure to begin and explore this city on your own.

Day 2 – Prague
Breakfast will be served at your hotel. This morn­ing enjoy a half day city tour of the most impor­tant sites includ­ing the Vltava River, Manes Palace, Zofin Palace, the National Theatre, with a vis­it of Prague Castle with a walk thru the court­yard. Then vis­it the his­toric Charles Bridge before cross­ing to the Hradčany dis­trict with a guid­ed walk to vis­it Loretto Church, the Royal Palace, St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George Church and Golden Lane. Your tour ends with a vis­it of Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock. This after­noon and evening are at your leisure to relax, shop and explore on your own.

Day 3 – Prague
Following break­fast you have the entire day free to explore and enjoy the city on your own, at your pace.

Day 4 — Prague to Vienna
After break­fast you have a pri­vate trans­fer to the rail sta­tion in time to board your high speed train to Vienna. Upon arrival, pro­ceed on your own to your hotel, check in and the remain­der of the after­noon and evening are at your leisure.

Day 5 – Vienna
Breakfast will be served at the hotel. This morn­ing enjoy a tour of Vienna includ­ing a panoram­ic view of the Museum of Applied Arts, the State Opera House, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Natural History. Then con­tin­ue to the Hofburg, the Parliament, City Hall, the Burgtheater, the University and the Votive Church. The high­light of your day is a vis­it of Schonbrunn Palace, once sum­mer res­i­dence of the Habsburgs. The after­noon and evening are at your leisure to relax and take in the sights and atmos­phere of Vienna on your own.

Day 6 – Vienna
Following break­fast, you have a full day at leisure for shop­ping, explor­ing on your own or choose from a vari­ety of option­al activities.

Day 7 — Vienna to Budapest
Following break­fast you will be picked up and trans­ferred by pri­vate car to the rail sta­tion in time to board your train for Budapest. Upon arrival pro­ceed on your own to your hotel, check in and the remain­der of the after­noon and evening ae at your leisure.

Day 8 – Budapest
Breakfast will be served at your hotel. This morn­ing join a city tour for an ori­en­ta­tion tour of the his­tor­i­cal city includ­ing sites such as the Parliament, cross over the Danube River on the Margaret Bridge to the Royal Castle on the Buda side, with a guid­ed walk through Fisherman’s Bastion, Matthias Church and the Citadel. Then cross the Elizabeth Bridge to Heroes Square, pass­ing the Opera and St.Stephen’s Basilica.

Following the tour, the remain­der of the after­noon and evening are at your leisure to relax, explore this unique city on your own, at your pace.

Day 9 – Budapest
Following break­fast, you have a full day at leisure to find a side­walk café for a lit­tle peo­ple-watch­ing, go shop­ping, vis­it a muse­um or choose an option­al tour.

Day 10 – Budapest
Following break­fast you will be trans­ferred by pri­vate car to either the rail sta­tion or the airport.
