Itinerary

DAY 01 MONDAY: Pompeii / Sorrento

Arrival to Rome and ear­ly morn­ing trans­fer to Sorrento (alter­na­tive­ly, pick up from Naples air­port not lat­er 11am). En route stop in Pompeii and vis­it one of the most incred­i­ble his­tor­i­cal sites in the world, the Roman city buried and pre­served by the vol­cano erup­tion of 79AD.
Following the tour of the exca­va­tions, con­tin­ue to Sorrento and enjoy a taste­ful lunch in a typ­i­cal trat­to­ria. After lunch learn from your tour host about Sorrento and your activ­i­ties in town. Tonight the din­ner will be served in a local restau­rant in the heart of Sorrento.

Day 02 TUESDAY: CAPRI

Today, vis­it the island of Capri with guide. Capri is an enchant­i­ng and pic­turesque island made of lime­stone rock. A “par­adise of idle­ness” sur­round­ed by the bluest of seas; the dra­mat­i­cal­ly beau­ti­ful, flower-cov­ered Island of Capri has been enchant­i­ng vis­i­tors for cen­turies. Free time is per­mit­ted for lunch on your own. Return to Sorrento in the late after­noon. The evening is at your leisure. Overnight in Sorrento. Breakfast included.

DAY 03: WEDNESDAY: FREE DAY IN SORRENTO

Sorrento is an ide­al loca­tion to dis­cov­er the beau­ties of the region. Your tour host will pro­vide you with a wide range of oppor­tu­ni­ties or you may reserve your excur­sion in advance via your
trav­el agent. Overnight in Sorrento. Breakfast included.

DAY 04 THURSDAY: AMALFI DRIVE

Today enjoy the vis­it of one of the most intrigu­ing coast­line in the world. Amalfi, Positano, Minori, Vietri… The small hous­es all hud­dling on top of each oth­er, the breath­tak­ing cliffs, the lemon and olive trees, the small beach­es, the Saracen and medieval watch tow­ers, the nar­row roads make this place unique in the world, so pre­cious to be list­ed in the UNESCO World Heritage sites. Enjoy the mag­nif­i­cent view of Amalfi Gulf from a relax­ing ter­race, where you will pick up you own lemons from a lemon tree and pre­pare a cold lemon­ade. Return to
Sorrento. Dinner will be served in a panoram­ic restau­rant on the hills of Sorrento.
Overnight in Sorrento. Breakfast & din­ner included.

DAY 05 FRIDAY: MATERA

After break­fast, trans­fer to Apulia region along the beau­ti­ful ancient road that con­nect the west of Italy to Adriatic Coast, in front of Greece. En route stop in Matera and free time to vis­it the town. Matera has gained inter­na­tion­al fame for its ancient town, the “Sassi di Matera” (mean­ing “stones of Matera”). The Sassi orig­i­nate from a pre-his­toric set­tle­ment and have been
inhab­it­ed for thou­sands of years with­out inter­rup­tion. Early after­noon, con­tin­ue to Polignano, a mag­nif­i­cent small vil­lage on the sea. Dinner and overnight in Polignano. Breakfast & lunch included.

DAY 06 SATURDAY: ALBEROBELLO & OSTUNI

The morn­ing is free to enjoy the vil­lage of Polignano, go to the beach or just relax. In the after­noon, meet your dri­ver for a full immer­sion in the life of Apulia. The first stop is Alberobello, the town pro­tect­ed by UNESCO for its unique archi­tec­ture of Trulli houses.
Continue to Ostuni, the beau­ti­ful white town on the sea. Later enjoy a tasty din­ner in Castellana, with the best of local tra­di­tion. Overnight in Polignano. Breakfast & din­ner included.

DAY 07 SUNDAY: LECCE

Today, pri­vate guid­ed vis­it of Lecce, the city of Baroque, a glo­ri­ous archi­tec­tur­al con­fec­tion of palaces and church­es intri­cate­ly sculpt­ed from the soft local sand­stone. In the after­noon, return to hotel and free time in Polignano. Dinner is in a local restau­rant in town. Overnight in Polignano. Breakfast & din­ner included.

DAY 08 MONDAY: DEPARTURES

Following break­fast, trans­fer to Bari airport.

These tours are oper­at­ed with a tour escort. Our com­mit­ment is to guar­an­tee any depar­tures even with 2 par­tic­i­pants. In case the num­ber of peo­ple trav­el­ing will be less or equal to 6, the tour will be oper­at­ed with a tour host. The tour host will vis­it dai­ly the guests and will assist them at check in in any sin­gle hotel. The tour host will escort the guest to the restau­rants when the din­ner is includ­ed. The tour host is avail­able 24hrs by phone. The pas­sen­gers are pro­vid­ed at their arrival with a Travel Pocket with infor­ma­tion, maps and an itinerary with details, tips and emer­gency toll free number.

The final itinerary pro­vid­ed to the par­tic­i­pants con­tains all the infor­ma­tion about sup­pli­ers, con­tacts and reser­va­tion num­bers. The hotels’ names will be pro­vid­ed 21 days before the arrival. In case of pre/post nights the hotel arranged will be the same used for the tours.
