Rome and the Amalfi Coast

This small group tour offered by European Travel Advisors is ide­al for dis­cern­ing trav­el­ers who enjoy the cama­raderie of trav­el­ing with oth­ers but appre­ci­ate the ben­e­fits that a max­i­mum group size of 16 pro­vides. Experience Rome and live the emo­tions of the Amalfi coast. This tour has fixed depar­ture dates through­out the cal­en­dar year.

2025 Tour dates and prices start­ing in Rome from April ‑November are on request. The months of January, February, March and December are always on request.

Itinerary

Day 1: Friday – Arrival Rome (din­ner)

Welcome to Italy!
Upon arrival at Rome air­port pro­ceed through Passport Control and col­lect your lug­gage inside the cus­toms area. Meet your dri­ver for pri­vate trans­fer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the Eternal City. In the evening, meet your host who will give you an overview of your tour program.
Overnight in Rome.

Day 2: Saturday – Coliseum & Vatican     (break­fast, lunch, dinner)

After break­fast, guid­ed tour of the Coliseum and Roman Forum. At the end of the morn­ing tour, stop for lunch. In the after­noon con­tin­ue the explo­ration of Rome with the Vatican. Discover the mas­ter­pieces of Greek and Roman ancient art, works of Raphael, Michelangelo and Caravaggio, the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica. After the tour ends, return to the hotel by pri­vate coach. In the evening, enjoy din­ner. Overnight in Rome.

Day 3: Sunday – Rome    (break­fast)

Today is free at leisure to explore Rome on your own. We can sug­gest option­al city  tours or yo can spend the day shop­ping at the Roman bou­tiques! Overnight in Rome.

Day 4: Monday – Pompeii/Sorrento     (break­fast, lunch, dinner)

Depart Rome by pri­vate motor coach to Sorrento. En route stop for a vis­it of Pompei and vis­it one of the most incred­i­ble his­tor­i­cal sites in the world, the Roman city destroyed and pre­served by the 79 AD erup­tion of Mt. Vesuvius. Continue to Sorrento and enjoy a lunch in a typ­i­cal trat­to­ria. After lunch your tour host will intro­duce you to the high­lights of Sorrento. Tonight the din­ner will be served in a local restau­rant in the heart of Sorrento. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 5: Tuesday  — Capri      (break­fast)

Today, depart for Capri, one of the Mediterranean’s must-see places. Begin with a guid­ed vis­it of this enchant­i­ng and pic­turesque island, a favorite with Roman emper­ors, the rich and famous, artists and writ­ers. Capri has been enchant­i­ng vis­i­tors for cen­turies. Late after­noon depar­ture to Sorrento. Overnight in Sorrento

Day 6: Wednesday – Day at leisure       (break­fast)

Sorrento is an ide­al loca­tion to dis­cov­er the beau­ties of the region. Your tour host will pro­vide you with a wide range of sug­gest­ed options or just spend the day at leisure. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 7: Thursday – Amalfi Drive    (break­fast, dinner)

Today trav­el the Amalfi Coast, one of the world’s tru­ly great bus rides, by pri­vate motor coach for a vis­it to Amalfi, Positano, Minori and Vietri. Marvel at the feat of engi­neer­ing as you gaze out over the small hous­es and hotels all hud­dling on top of each oth­er, breath­tak­ing cliffs, lemon and olive trees, small beach­es and medieval watch tow­ers. The nar­row roads makes this place unique to the world and list­ed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy the mag­nif­i­cent view of the Amalfi Gulf from a relax­ing ter­race, where you will pick up your own lemons from a lemon tree and pre­pare a cold lemon­ade. Return to Sorrento. Farewell din­ner will be served in a panoram­ic restau­rant on the hills of Sorrento. Overnight in Sorrento.

Day 8: Friday – Departure
Breakfast fol­lowed by pri­vate trans­fer to Naples air­port or rail­way station.
