Carnevale in Venice

I just returned from Carnevale 2012 in Venice and it was fan­tas­tic!  Saint Mark’s Square was a mov­ing and chang­ing the­atri­cal stage with crowds in cos­tume and pro­fes­sion­al pho­tog­ra­phers from all over the world try­ing to cap­ture allur­ing images. The Florian Cafe in the evening seemed tran­spired in time as the ele­gant­ly dressed peo­ple in peri­od cos­tumes gath­ered for bev­er­ages and cheer! Visit Venice at any time of the year and you will find the spir­it of Carnevale alive in the masks and pho­tographs all over the city.
