Itinerary

Zermatt is a par­adise for skiers, a pic­turesque moun­tain vil­lage at the foot of the majes­tic Matterhorn. Horse-drawn sleighs, car­riages and elec­tric vehi­cles are the only means of trans­porta­tion allowed here– expe­ri­ence a world with­out cars! With its wind-pro­tect­ed south­ern loca­tion, Zermatt encom­pass­es three ski areas, offer­ing superb snow con­di­tions and the longest ski sea­son in the Alps.

The resort con­sists of 153 miles of ski ter­rain, rang­ing from easy to dif­fi­cult, and an exten­sive net­work of 74 lifts and trams. This white won­der­land offers end­less oppor­tu­ni­ties for ski tours and a vast vari­ety of win­ter sports.

Accommodation includ­ed is the Swiss Quality Hotel Walliserhof, a four-star hotel built in typ­i­cal Valasian chalet style and locat­ed in the heart of the vil­lage, 200m from the rail­way sta­tion and a few min­utes walk to the cable cars. The cozy Stubli restau­rant offers inter­na­tion­al cui­sine as well as a vari­ety of fon­due, dried meats and oth­er local spe­cial­ties. The Grill Room offers a more ele­gant, upscale atmos­phere for din­ing. The hotel is equipped with a com­plete spa includ­ing sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, fit­ness area and solarium.
